Oscar Mayer Wieners
Sofy:
I just watched this great episode of Oprah. It was that one where a bunch of memorable guests come back on the show to give people updates on their lives and stuff. It was awesome. The one that I liked the most was the last one. They first showed a clip of this little boy singing this totally weird song, and at first I didn’t know what the hell was going on, and then the boy came back on the show, and he’s like 14 or 15 now, and he sang the song again, more CLEARLY. And it was HILARIOUS. Seriously. Any song that ends with the phrase “cuz if I were an Oscar Mayer wiener, everyone would be in love with me” HAS to have a person falling off the couch and rolling around the floor laughing hysterically.
Okay, so maybe it wasn’t that funny. But come on…the dude was talking about being a frikin sausage, for godssakes.
And also, today I got a 85 on my Geography quiz. And then during the rest of the class he was asking out random questions for extra points on the quiz, and I got 1 question and a half right, so technically I got 100!!!
And we’re in our badminton unit in P.E. right now, and it is sooo cool. We were basically laughing the whole class. And the three of us are actually pretty good at it, so besides having fun, we get good grades!
Oh, and Cary and I got back to being friends. It was sort of a natural thing, you know? We just started talking again. But keep your promise this time, Carol.
Stupid CBS
Can you believe that they might cancel How I Met Your Mother? (Maybe you can because you might not have watched it, but anyway) It’s such a great show! I mean, everyone loves it, it has great ratings, awesome reviews…some people are even comparing it to Friends! I mean, Friends! It was the best show ever! How I Met Your Mother might be a weird name that isn’t really catchy (It’s more sort of…stupid) but when you watch it once it totally makes sense. And it’s so addictive, I mean CBS should so NOT cancel it, anyone that watches like one episode will want to watch the next one, which means more viewers, good press, probably more money, and all that stuff. They only want to cancel because, like, this one guy in CBS thinks it isn’t funny and he doesn’t like it. One guy, and it’s like on every forum and fansite, so I’m assuming it’s a pretty important guy. I hope the show doesn’t get cancelled. It’s so good.
The nice thing is that I keep seeing all these links to petitions and things titled ”save HIMYM” and stuff, so maybe CBS will see how many fans the show has and realize they’re really stupid for even considering this.
And also, today is Alyson Hannigan’s birthday. She’s 33. Happy Birthday!
Why I Haven’t Written in Awhile and About Amber Benson
Sofy:
There are two reasons I haven’t been writing. First of all, Alvy isn’t writing anymore, like, ever, and I’m also pretty sure he doesn’t even read it when I write, so I sort of feel that there’s no point in writing if I know that no one is reading. But then I thought that I’m not really writing for other people, I write for myself, because this blog is where I can say anything I want and all, and if I say something stupid I can always take it back, or edit and stuff.
The other reason is because my internet hasn’t been working. It was SO annoying. I had to use my little brother’s computer to do homework and stuff, and I couldn’t download the Monday episode of How I Met Your Mother or check my hotmail or anything. And we’ve been getting like a ton of spam comments and stuff, but WordPress doesn’t consider it spam, for some reason. I swear this thing is crazy, I mean, it puts normal comments into the spam thingy and the comments that are actually spam, that say all these gross things about ewy porn stuff, goes to our comments page. But anyway, so we’ve been getting a ton of spam and when the internet isn’t working, I’m always paranoid because we have this ’recent comments’ widget and I don’t like the thought of people seeing things about rape and incest (whatever the heck incest is, I just know that it was there a lot) in our recent comments. But whatever. Now the internet is back and I’m happy.
Also, something else happened today. So I was on imdb.com (I love this site. It’s so the best. It has everything) and I was looking at Amber Benson’s profile. Amber Benson is this actress on Buffy, she played Tara, who’s Willow’s girlfriend, and she dies in the fifth season because this stupid jerk asshole nerd wannabe-villain dude (I HATE him) shoots her. So, I was looking at her Trivia page and it said that Joss Whedon (the director) had planned on bringing her back on the seventh season (the last one). It said that on the last episode, Buffy was going to have one wish (This didn’t really happen in the episode), and she could wish for anything, and she was going to think about what she was going to ask for throughout the entire episode, and in the end, the last scene, they would ask her what she wished for and she would step aside and Tara would be behind her. I am SO pissed that this didn’t happen. I was almost crying, because Tara was the best and Willow was so upset and she turned all evil and veiny and black-haired when Tara died (at least she flayed the stupid jerk asshole nerd wannabe-villain dude alive). I wanted to hit something, I was so angry. I hate Joss Whedon, if this was his fault.
But I also discovered that Amber Benson is also one of my favorite actresses. She’s so interesting. I like Alyson Hannigan and Emma Caulfield (also from Buffy and from this movie called Darkness Falls that anyone should watch it’s so cool), but I like Amber Benson in a more admiring-y way. Like a when-I-grow-up-I-want-to-be-like-her way. Because, like, I’m pretty sure I suck and acting. I have stage fright. But I like it. I mean, I was in Drama. I’m just not anymore because I got traumatized because I had to dress up as a horse (I mean, come on. The one year I decide to do drama, the play is about this frikkin rabbit with all these other animals and stuff) Besides, I’m not even sure there is Drama this year. Anyway, I like acting. And if I ever decide to practice, I’ll get over the nervousness thing. But also, she’s a writer, and I’m gonna be a writer. I think she’s written a couple of books and she co-wrote the Buffy 8th Season Comic Book and she’s written and directed and produced these bunch of movies (I’ve never really heard about any of them, but they were in the Sundance Film Festival, so I’m guessing they were okay) and stuff. She also really likes singing (and she has this awesome voice). It’s like, both things I love the most combined. Music and writing. The only problem is that she also likes dancing and dancing is the worst. But, you know, I won’t be exactly like her. I’m just saying that I like that she works in a bunch of different fields. She’s a writer, a singer and an actress. That’s pretty cool.
The End of Buffy
I just watched the last episode of Buffy. It was so sad. Anya died because she saved that stupid Andrew dude who is a nerd and killed his best friend and is totally NOT worth saving. And then Andrew told Xander, who loved Anya but still was a jerk and left her at the altar and Xander was like “Yeah, that’s my girl. Always doing the stupid thing.” It was so depressing I was like, crying at the end. And the last line was Dawn saying “What are we gonna do now?” How could a show end like that? I swear I hate whatever writer did that. Whoever it is, is just cruel.
It was so sad. I mean, Anya died. And Spike did too, but at least he saved the world. And Willow ended up with this stupid, rude, retarded girl called Kennedy. I wish Tara hadn’t died. And Andrew LIVED. And Xander got blind. Of just ONE eye! (I hate Xander. He left Anya. I like Anya. He should’ve gotten completely blind) It’s so sad that there aren’t any more episodes. Maybe I’ll start reading fanfic. But then it just wouldn’t be the same, and characters are just so not-themselves in fanfic…
The only nice thing was when I watched the outtakes. It was so funny. But then I remembered that there won’t be any more and I got sad again. These great shows like Friends, Buffy, Sex and the City…they should just never end. Ever. (I don’t say CSI cuz it didn’t end yet. Besides, I’m not that into it anymore)
But I still have two full discs of the second season to watch. I just don’t want to watch, because when I finish, then it’ll really be over.
Also, I don’t think anyone will really get this post because no one knows who Dawn or Andrew or Tara or anyone is.
Torrents
Torrents are my new favorite things in the whole world. (well, not really. But it’s definitely one of the top 10. Currently, at least.) I wasn’t exactly sure what they were, and when I looked at dictionary.com it said these things about a stream or something, and that’s not what I mean, in case any of you know the word torrent as being a stream or water or whatever.
You know, Alvy addicted me to Buffy and now I watch it all the time and I even bought the first and second season for myself (and they didn’t get here today either, by the way) and my favorite character is Willow, who is played by Alyson Hannigan (who is also Michelle, from American Pie, and Julia from Date Movie). So I was looking on imdb to see what other shows and movies and stuff she was in, since I liked her on Buffy so much, and I saw that right now she’s in this sitcom called How I Met Your Mother. And I looked on the internet to see what it was about and I really wanted to watch it. But of course, Brazil is always like, the last country that the new TV shows air in, so it’s not on yet. I tried to download it on limewire but there were no results, so I looked on google to see if there’s any place where I can download it.
And that’s when I found them: torrents.
Basically, they’re these files that you can download if you have a program called uTorrent and they have like ALL TV shows imaginable, and movies too. It’s SO awesome. I can’t believe I never heard of these before. They’re the best thing everyone ever created. (again, not true. I’m exaggerating) So I downloaded the first episode, and I just finished watching it. It’s hilarious, really. And since I liked the first episode, I’m now downloading the entire first season. I hope I’ll like the rest too.
The only thing I don’t like is the word, torrents. It reminds me of toast.
Oh and since I like all her movies and shows (the ones I’ve watched), Alyson Hannigan is my favorite actress now (What? So I’ve actually known her name only for three weeks. It still counts). She’s so funny on every show and movie I’ve seen her on (except for Buffy, most of the time. But that’s cuz Buffy isn’t comedy) I wish I could meet her, that would be so cool…
Once More With Feeling
Alvy:
Yesterday, Sofy, Cary and Bia went to Vanessa’s house (Oh, by the way, it may seem a surprise to you, but Vanessa was there also.)
We went there to watch “Date Movie” and “Once More With Feeling” (Actually, it’s a Buffy episode.) We arrived, and left our backpacks near the kitchen. We went straight to the livingroom to watch “Date Movie” it’s kind of pornographic, in a way that’s not pornographic, but it’s very funny. We took the kids off the livingroom so they wouldn’t see anything, but Vanessa’s sister made her way and got a little bit of the most “pornful” part. After we watched “Date Movie” we watched the Buffy musical episode called “Once More With Feeling” and it was very interesting. Sofy and I have seen most of the seasons, and we know a lot about each charater, so when we saw Anya (ex-demon, terrified of bunnies, money-lover) sing a total concert on her fear for bunnies, we burst out laughing, and everyone just stared at us. Everyone liked the “Walk Through The Fire” song, so we rewinded that song so we could sing along, and then we watched “She’s the man” but before that, I went to the bathroom, and saw enough evidence to assume that Sofy didn’t flush. And when told her, everyone started laughing, and Vanessa’s mom started to talk about how she does her needs in the bathroom. Later on, we discovered that the toilet water was originally yellow. Even before we were done with “She’s The Man,” Bia and I went home.
From then on, I don’t really know what happened in Vanessa’s house… (Dramatic Song)
Buffy: The Best Series EVER!
Alvy:
I have mentioned a lot of Buffy episodes and characters in the last posts, and I just felt like talking about it a little, just so you guys could rent a season and give it a try!
Sofy and I are great fans of the Buffy seasons, since I lent the third season to her, and she seems to be enjoying it! she asks me some questions, and I love that she’s getting involved in the plot, and she’s really enjoying! I feel so happy! but Ms. Coggio and Cary have to start watching (Well, Cary won’t have time, but I could lent it to Ms. Coggio!)
As the title suggests, “Buffy the vampire slayer” is about Buffy, the vampire slayer, and her friends, and actually, vampires and slayers aren’t the only things related to the supernatural, wiccas, demons, gods, cyborgs and other things are also involved! some of her friends are:
Willow: a wicca (Tara’s girlfriend)
Tara: a wicca (Willow’s girlfriend)
Xander: the “group clown”
Spike: an ally vampire
Angel: an ally vampire
Cordelia: Popular girl, runs away in the third season
Dawn: Buffy’s sister
Anya: ex-demon
Giles: Buffy’s watcher
Drusilla: Spike’s ex-girlfriend
The story is fun, and very creative, and it even tells some stories from other books, like the gentlemen, Hansel and Gretel and even Dracula. (And that’s why you would like it, Ms. Coggio)
Buffy goes from season 1-7 and there has been a rumor that the 8th season will also be released, I just hope it’s true, since Buffy the vampire slayer IS the best series of all times.
